Great idea that works well The string winder is larger and more comfortable to hold that any of the ‘cheap’ winders you buy at music stores. The winder part has smooth motion and the cutter works much better than expected. I thought maybe it would bend the strings rather than cut them. But so far, it snips cleanly through the strings and gets pretty close tot he peg head. If you change strings a lot, I would also recommend to yout he Planet Waves Headstand.

Dangerous!! I like Planet Waves products, and have several. This one needs a redesign, though.I also have the PW “Ergonomic” string winder – which is awesome. Where the ergo one is soft and round, this is hard and angular.
