Elixir Strings Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings w NANOWEB Coating, Extra Light (.010-.047)

Strum confidently with the same premium acoustic guitar strings that experienced players worldwide trust to keep their incredible tone longer than any other string available. Unlike other string brands, Elixir Strings coats the whole string. This protects not only the outer string surface but also the gaps between the windings where common tone-deadening gunk typically builds up in other brands’ coated and uncoated guitar strings. Anti-Rust Plating on plain steel strings ensures longer tone life for the entire set. Who wouldn’t love more quality playing time between the hassle and cost of string changes? Engineered to endure, these acoustic strings constructed with phosphor bronze wrap wire boast a dynamic balance of rich, full-bodied tone and sparkling high-end clarity. Compared to our original POLYWEB Coating, the ultra-thin NANOWEB Coating allows a more traditionally textured, “uncoated” feel. For a slicker, gentler feel, try a set of strings with our original POLYWEB Coating. The 80/20 Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings with POLYWEB Coating, for example, might be a good fit if you want a more robust and rounded tone. On the other end of the tone spectrum, our 80/20 Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings with NANOWEB Coating deliver a brighter, crisper tone alongside the same traditional feel as these phosphor bronze strings. Of course, the kind of string you play is all a matter of personal preference. Not sure what tone or feel is right for you? Try them out for yourself, and find your new favorite string from Elixir Strings. For a more in-depth look at what makes our strings so special, scroll to the branded info further down the page. Elixir Strings: Great tone. Long life.

The durability of these strings plus good sound makes them a smart buy I play guitar a lot, but I’ve only been playing a few years and I have limited exposure to strings. That said, I have a background in piano/keyboard and I’ve been playing music all my life. I’ve been through about a dozen different sets of strings on a few guitars I own. These run the gamut from inexpensive (Ernie Ball Earthwood) to standard (D’Addarios) to high end Elixirs and Cleartones. The Elixir Nanoweb is my second favorite I’ve used on both my Yamaha and Ovation A/E guitars with the…

An alternate gauge to light or medium strings These are Elixir nanoweb strings. Probably nothing to say that you don’t already know. The gauge is 12-56 so the bass strings are a bit heavier in the set. They sound will be slightly stronger in the bass than the 12-53’s but will depend on your guitar to know if it works. Because the lower strings are essentially “medium gauge” the tension on the guitar will be mostly like medium gauge as higher strings’ tension between the light and medium gauges will have little impact on overall…

They only strings I use Elixir is the only brand of string I’ve used on my guitars for over 12 years. I originally used and loved the polyweb strings, but my newer guitar really wanted something a bit brighter and livelier. These phosphor bronze nanowebs definitely did the trick, and they still really don’t need to be changed very often. The coating is thinner and less noticable than the original polyweb, and you can still enjoy the full benefits of a set of phosphor-bronze strings. You’ll honestly get tired of the…
