not trying to antagonize, just pointing out…if you can afford to have
several guitars, you probably have enough money for a camera, or at least a
cellphone with a built-in camera. and you’re probably typing on a computer
with a built-in webcam. no one’s buying your argument. cheers.

Pedro Duarte says:

Dude, I play a freeking Ibanez Jem… and you my friend are just another
YouTube troll with clearly no knowledge of what makes a good
instrument…peace…

MCToneLoc says:

You don’t know anything about guitars, clearly.

Pedro Duarte says:

Ummmm, there are several Gibson models with trems actually… Still, these
are great guitars for the money, which these days is pretty hard to find…
Ofc most expensive instruments are better out of the box, especially when
it comes to electronics… But just bashing on it and people that support
it just make you sound like a troll… No one is saying that it’s better
than a 3K Gibson, Fender, Ibanez or EBMM… They are just saying it is a
GREAT VALUE instrument…

ArielsSmartyPants says:

Finally this guitar played by mortals without all the processing, I swear
the amount of post processing they use would make Journey shudder.

MrStutterIsland says:

That makes you a typical youtube guitar guy who has a channel and thinks
that this automatically gives him authority regarding certain matters. It
is a quite common thing around here, but it is ridiculous. If you would
really know something, you could educate me. But nothing you said so far
has any other content than “You don’t know shit, you are a troll!” I was
warned that the guitar “aficionados” on youtube are really ignorant people,
but that is just – extramundane. Look at me, I am a cat..

MrStutterIsland says:

Oh, what a subtle insult. At least I try to be polite and address the
points you make, but that does not matter to you because your opinion is
solid as stone. Talking about rambling, you repeat the same unsubstantiated
claims over and over again and do not even react to what I say. Ad hominem,
argument by authority – that is what discussions on Youtube consist of. You
think you know who I am or how good my playing is from a few comments? Wow,
you must be a psychic… :D

espltdguitarlover says:

Like we stated before you think your educated in this topic but you are
not. Please get a cam, show us your skills and knowledge of the instrument
and its inner workings and then will we believe the ramblings that flow
from you. Until then your a typical YouTube troll who has to comment on
items not knowing even the basic facts of that item because your a troll.

MrStutterIsland says:

There is absolutely nothing wrong with his playing. It is absolutely
suffice to demo the tone of the guitar. If he were an absolute beginner his
playing might compromise the tone, but he isn’t. Please, tell me how he
made the clean tones sound so thin? I really want to know! he must be a
pretty awesome player to pull that off. ..

MrStutterIsland says:

Argument from authority! A very common choice, but not a good one. I really
don’t care how many guitars you have because it has nothing to do with the
subject of our discussion. Strangely, I have recently heard the exact
opposite of your opinion from someone who owned thousands of guitars.Who
that guy was? The owner of a chain of big music stores. He told me that the
quality control of big brands did not change much, the market and his
business changed. Big music stores instead of small shops…

espltdguitarlover says:

The statement about a declining quality since 1980ish still stands. Guitar
manufactures have plenty of time to properly inspect and set up a guitar.
From the most expensive to the cheapest a company produces quality control
should be #1. Now.. have you played or even held one of the Chapman
guitars? if the answer is again no, you are once again clueless and posting
things you have no clue about. Please make a video of ALL your guitars and
describe each QC issue with each. then i will believe you

MrStutterIsland says:

Wonder why that is…

MrStutterIsland says:

That sounds like a great idea, get a good player that can circumvent all
weaknesses the guitar has so it will sound perfect. Best get Eric Johnson,
he can make a stringed turd sound great! But is that really the idea behind
a demo? Does it give you a good idea about what an average player is able
to do with the instrument?

espltdguitarlover says:

Sorry but the same thing cant be said for all guitar company’s. And while a
c.e.o of a company may say he cares, its the workers getting paid to put
out the product that count. Look at Gibson and its poor quality over the
years. Getting a new Gibson in good working order is a hit or miss now. The
same for Fender or ESP all hit and miss. You apparently haven’t the
slightest clue about manufacturing,r&d and further production. Rob got a
win-win manufacture and a good team… period.. your a troll

espltdguitarlover says:

In some way you have been to China and American Guitar factory’s? in some
way? In some ways I have owned the Brooklyn Bridge also. You have got to be
one of the largest clueless trolls on YouTube. Post a video of your guitars
or shut up … but you wont

espltdguitarlover says:

Its not a challenge nor is it interesting. We had figured on the “no
camera” comment, where you would do a follow up and more ramblings.

ResidentSmith78 says:

Meh…that guitar sounds just about average to me .the clean sounds are
even a bit Squier-ish. Not sustaining much or many harmonics jumping out.
Maybe its just the lemon of the production batch but in that case still –
review a good one!

MrStutterIsland says:

And you have clearly not seen too many Gibson guitars…

espltdguitarlover says:

Once again you are clueless … And yes Fender makes some bad guitars, nor
am I a Fender hater, a Gibson hater,Jackson hater or so on.. I own them
ALL. My collection has now surpassed 70. Gibson,Fender,Charvel,ESP,Jackson
ALL of them and i have seen first hand quality control drop on every one of
them since the 80s. Your arguing over something you have no clue what you
are discussing. At this point and time Chapman guitars are a great value
for the money and retain good quality control.

ResidentSmith78 says:

As someone else said…My Ibanez eats this and its one of the lowest
spec’ed cheaper models!

espltdguitarlover says:

Yes, you are a troll.. Your trying to blow smoke up peoples asses with your
nonsense comments, and now you sit here arguing over the merits of QC
inspection. Post a video of all your guitars so we can all see where your
source of inspiration and information comes from. I have a bet you either
dont have a guitar or are a 6 month player.

espltdguitarlover says:

I think you spend a little too much time thinking instead of actually
basing your statements on facts.. The QC inspection process is the last and
final step of a process. Some factory’s such as Gibson have as many as 14
QC inspectors and there is plenty of time to properly inspect, as is in
Fenders case and more.Even guitars made thru the xiquing plant in China who
make guitars for DH Gate and Tradetang have a excellent QC dept. You need
more hands on experience with guitar factory’s.. sorry

MrStutterIsland says:

A troll – interesting. Okay, first of all, did you even think about where
Chapman guitars are made? Chappers himself stated several times that his
guitars are made in a factory that also supplies other known brands. Guess
who they are? Second, what does this tell you about the workers? They are
most likely the same people who also work on the guitars of brands you
despise. You should really think about that…

MrStutterIsland says:

Interesting challenge – if I just owned a camera – which I don’t. So, no
way of making a video qcing my beautiful collection of electric lutes.
Okay, that was indeed a joke. I have just figured out that you actually
have quite a number of videos of your guitars up. As for chapman guitars –
played them, didn’t like ‘em.. Sorry, my strats and Ibanez ..s…es..just
eat them. Please don’t say that I am a troll or clueless. Can’t get the
words out of my head! Don’t let your life get ruined by me. :D

espltdguitarlover says:

But it does my friend… because I have more hands on experience about
guitar manufacturing than you which qualifies me to say that you know
little or nothing about not only the Chappman guitar but guitars,
manufacturing or anything in general… please post a video of ALL your
guitars.

Kemzino says:

The Pickups that come stock are actually very good. My fave and main guitar
is a Fender strat, totally stock. I get what you say about buying the
guitar with what you need without the retro fitting afterthought and
mucking about. why not just buy what you want? well, if that was the case
we would all be spending £1600 a pop. even though my strat is my main and
fave, it feels like a toy compared to the ML2 build wise, the Ml2 far out
specs it. thats why you need a few different guitars man :)

ian916fun says:

thank you for the information . Interesting approach from Chapman Guitars,
opens up the idea of a modular approach where at point of purchase you can
specify the pickups from a pre defined let. What Fiat have done with their
500 car which has been very successful.

Kemzino says:

The original concept of the ML1 was to have a guitar designed by voting the
spec online and skimping on the electronics, for the sole reason it cut the
cost right down. what you got was a sick playing guitar with cheap pickups
/ pots ect. it was the ‘blank canvas’ approach where by you retro fitted
some after market bare knuckles or dimarzio or whatever you wanted. I
actually bought an ML2 single cut in the end and after fitting duncans in
it it rapes guitars that cost well over £1000. play one!

Thomas Pitel says:

Can’t believe them Chapman Guitars… this particular model got so popular
that every single one of them was pre-ordered before UK delivery :(

Further practice will have to wait until mid-October. Bloody agony!

MrEmohdee says:

ROCK ON

imorez1 says:

Awesome!

MCToneLoc says:

Gibsons aren’t made with a moving trem, moron. Clearly you’ve never played
guitar in your life. Please go and suicide :)

9JayPDizzle6 says:

Such dull playing

amiguels4 says:

I do take guitar lessons. Whatever dude, I don’t want to go on one of those
youtube comment fights. I’m just telling you, what you state is not true. I
own a ML-1 and I’ve played two others. They stay in tune like a charm. Good
bye and have a happy life.

MCToneLoc says:

Get some guitar lessons, watch them again… You’ll get it then.

KHGuitarFreak1988 says:

Not everyone has the money to buy guitars that have performances on par
with expensive guitars that cost thousands. This guitar only costs GBP 350.
Now show me another guitar that is Korean made with those features such as
Wilkinson trem and laminated maple top for that price…

Will Baines says:

That Dirty sound was awful, really didn’t complement the guitar… :(

Hui Keith says:

Great guitar!

wcm5150 says:

that guitar sounds horrible. The demo was fine

KHGuitarFreak1988 says:

You’ve got to take into out how much this guitar costs. Given that it’s
made in Korea for very little money, I doubt you would nitpick too much
over these guitars…
